There’s something sacred about a quiet, slow morning—especially on Memorial Day.
Today started with a kitchen full of savory smells, a perfectly chilled Aperol Spritz, and Louie glued to my side, ready for action (and snacks).
As I whisked eggs and chopped herbs, I paused to remember the meaning behind the day. Memorial Day in the United States is more than just a long weekend—it’s a time to honor and remember those who served and gave the ultimate sacrifice.
So while the omelets sizzle and the champagne bubbles, I’m holding space in my heart for gratitude.
Here’s to a meaningful morning and the freedom to enjoy it.
